I was first introduced to the TRU MBA Club president over conversations regarding my “Missing Middle” housing research, and how it related to the environmental sustainability and economic value of salvage. In hearing of my lived experience, he asked if I would join the club as an executive member, saying that my classmates would benefit from hearing these different viewpoints. Since then, this social organization has provided a many opportunities to share my sustainability ideas verbally with club members, and has secured connections with 50+ new followers on my Instagram platform, who are interesting in hearing more. This approachable, realistic account is dedicated to sustainability knowledge sharing, through an ever-evolving viewpoint of the environmental and economic value of salvage and building reuse. Framing the sustainability attributes of salvage also as an economic benefit, has triggered interest among my MBA peers, who I connected with via the MBA Club.
