Paint. When it’s done right (take that wood right back baby!), this 110 year old, old-growth fir siding and trim has 110 years more life left in it…❤️… and always blue skies on the Jones porch – the “haint blue” keeps the “haunts” away, in proper southern traditon.
We got called “crazy” more than once with this house – crazy… ‘for taking on all that work’…’cause she’ll never come back”…”it’s too far gone”… this is your friendly Monday reminder that getting called crazy JUST means you’re doing something someone else wouldn’t… and that’s fine. Good for you – be a #disrupter! Those big leaps can be big rewards, if you leap with your head first, not your heart. 😉
Someone asked me the other day what we were going to do when we were done this house…… find the next one of course! On a mission to save and/or love all the old houses, old dogs and old people… the best stories are lived. 💕
