6 years = 6 updates in 6 days … = 5/6 🤍

Dump run days and #demodays are the BEST days. Today’s post isn’t pretty, is very much in progress, and has been soooo much work, and probably the most expensive thing we’ve done (not pictured, new sewer and gas lines = one way to bury 💰 = 🤯). This recessed patio will be covered with red brick, and has a beauty view of Mount Paul… plus practical shop storage and a safe exterior entry, protected from flooding with the big porch overhead.  I ❤  it. I can’t wait.

But first, looking back at old photos, this project generally has taken a village… the dream team core of the Jansen bros, Mike and Nick (electrical), Mark (medi gas aka fancy plumber) and Shane & Arlana (whatever is needed, and all the ideas!), plus amazing people who haven’t been afraid to jump in and get their hands dirty, talk paint colors and lighting, and pitch ideas… Laine, Bailey, Bri, S-Amy, Fran, Ang, Steve, Torin, Glen, Darren, Nelson, Claire… plus our awesome Bud and Sandi at Hall Environmenal for the salvage access for matching materials.😁

So lucky, and blessed, to have this opportunity and be surrounded by these people and so many others who’ve supported this dream… thank you each for your kind words, genuine interest and patience – finally starting to get to the fun parts! 🥰
